Partners presentation
The INFOGENMED Consortium is integrated by three universities (UPM,
Aveiro/IEETA and Linkoping) with different backgrounds, expertise
and interests, a national health institution (Carlos III) and an
industrial partner (GENOMICA). We aimed at establishing a multinational
working group that, based on previous expertise and achievements
in the area (reported in many conferences and journal papers) is
able to carry out practical design and development of concrete methods
and tools.

UPM is a leading university in Spain in engineering
and applied informatics. They will be the leaders of the design
and implementation of the tools presented in this proposal.
They have successfully carried out similar tasks for national
projects in the past. They provide expertise in Medical Informatics
to the consortium, with many models and tools created and implemented
for healthcare. |

Carlos III |
Spain |
ISCIII is the national institute of health of
Spain. It has a large number of biomedical researchers and practitioners,
including a hospital which is located at the main campus of
the institution in Madrid. ISCIII has participated in numerous
genomic activities and coordinates the analysis of genetic tests
for all the Spanish hospitals. In addition, ISCIII provides
to the consortium the expertise in Bioinformatics and clinical
applications of genomics. |

Linkoping provides expertise and background in
Biomedical Engineering and Bioinformatics. The researchers involved
in this proposal have been involved in numerous national and
EC-funded projects in telematics in healthcare during the last
decade. |
